Chanel Airlines

Hello everybody! This post is all about Chanel’s Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2016 Show. Or should I say Airport?

Over the seasons, Karl Lagerfeld have taken us to a casino, a paper jungle, a super market, a brasserie and an art gallery. This time… An airport.

As always he was impeccably on theme and very well prepared. There was a departures and arrivals board that listed “flights” like Salzburg, Shanghai and other past Chanel show destinations. The entire collection was inspired by the 80s and the looks had little touches like airplane shaped brooches.

Just like in a real terminal, the models rolled their Chanel suitcases on the runway. The models wore blue blocker style sunglasses or simply blue makeup in the shape of sunglasses.

The front row included Cara Delevingne, Hudson Kroenig, Lily-Rose Depp and Janelle Monaé. Cara made an appearance at the very end of the show to hug the legendary designer Karl Lagerfeld.

The show was out of this world. Every detail was meticulously created and organised.

So that is it for this post. Keep checking the Blonders daily.

  1. I saw the pictures from this show and agree with you totally that the theme was handled very well. Way better than the usual airport horror — which includes the airport travel wear. LoL
